Stunning Wine Cellar Design In The Mountains Of Colorado

by | Nov 1, 2017 | Wine Industry

One of the main things we like focus on at Cool Wine Cellar is creating custom wine cellars that go beyond simple wine racks. Stunning wine cellar doors, custom wine cellar lighting, and beautiful wood shelves are just some of the great items that allow us to create a space where you can enjoy your wine collection with family and friends. Traditional wood wine cellars, glass and steel wine cellars, contemporary wine cellars, tasting centers are some of the fantastic options we can provide.

At Cool Wine Cellar we believe that creating the perfect wine room relies on listening to our clients. Getting to know their personalities, and being able to recognize what would actually be their dream wine room it’s one of our biggest goals. It may sound a bit romantic, but the truth is that when we really get to know our customers, we can be pretty sure that beautiful projects are about to get real.

We are very proud of this Cool Wine Cellar design that was installed in this stunning residential property.  What an inspiring view for developing such an exciting project, right?

Everybody knows weather in the mountains is always an interesting thing. When it comes to maintaining the right conditions for a wine cellar, there are some things that you need to focus on. Especially if you want your wine to age the right way. Remember that climate control will make or break your wine cellar.

The challenge was big, and that is why we decided to use a Wine Guardian ¼ Ton Ducted Cooling Unit with both humidification and heat added. Wine is a delicate thing. It tolerates temperature and humidity changes only within a narrow band. If it goes above or below, then the aging process is likely to go wrong. This means that if humidity and temperature are not controlled correctly, your wine won’t age the right way. Wine storage in Colorado faces two problems. Weather can reach very low temperatures, however, heat can be an obstacle too. So if your wine cellar is too warm, your wine will age too quickly and produce other unwanted reactions. This will of course damage the quality and taste of the wine. On the other hand, if the conditions are too cool, chemical reactions slow down and your wine ages at a much slower pace.

But a great wine cellar is not just all about finding the perfect temperature balance. It is also about creating a beautiful atmosphere that allows you to enjoy the fascinating wine world. A wine room is not just a room, it’s a complete experience. And that is why we don’t like just to focus on the technical details, but also on the design elements. Color, lightening, finishes, and different materials such as sandstone for the floor, wood, metal racks and beautiful LED lightning were some of the amazing things we implemented in this stunning wine room.

Wine Racks

Look at this brilliant wine room design made with contemporary metal racks. We installed platinum finished Triple Deep 4’ VintageView Wall Mounted Wine Racks.

Shelves

For the shelves we used our beautiful Rustic Pine Wood with Dusty Weathered Stain and Weathered Finish. It works incredibly fine for making your wood achieve a timeworn look. To achieve this texture, the wood is run through a proprietary process that strips intergrain material down below the grain in the same fashion that outside exposure striates barn siding over 50-70 years. Then, a custom topcoat is applied and the color plays on the grayish-brown hues to complete the weathered appearance to the wood.

Lightning

We created a beautiful LED chandelier that gives a completely astonishing and contemporary style. Also, we implemented multi-colored LED lightning for the shelves.

Door and Sidelight

Last but not least, we are also very proud of the great work we did with the door and sidelight. The result? An amazing color palette that matches perfectly with the wet bar.
